The AWF is developing a collaboration with the Turtle Foundation in Cape Verde. Through this collaboration we aim to develop turtle projects at our project bases around the world, utilising the Turtle Foundation's experience and expertise. In Cape Verde, we will have a small team of volunteers working on humpback whale watching boats collecting photo ID and acoustic data. This work will be used to feed back to the local community and to tourists on educational and conservation issues. The volunteers will be based in rented accommodation in Boa Vista.
