2. The Teide Challenge.

Every year hundreds of AWF volunteers make the arduous challenge of climbing Mt Teide, on the island of Tenerife, the third highest volcano in the world. The climb is normally overnight to avoid the heat of the day and allow climbers the opportunity of catching the extraordinary sunrise over the seven Canary islands. (Mt Teide casts the longest shadow in the world). You don’t have to be a volunteer with us. If you or a group of you wish to climb the mountain as a fundraiser for one of our causes then we will accommodate and feed you free of charge and attend to all the climb logistics.

3. AWF Expedition Preparation Week Dingle, Ireland 7th May 2013

One week of inspirational talks, great workshops, activities and lots of singing and drinking (This is Kerry!). The cost is £200 including accommodation and food BUT if you go on to book a volunteering project then £100 will be deducted from this cost. ALL proceeds will go to the AWF Film & Expedition Society.

4. Grand Raffle

Win a trip of a lifetime for two to Sri Lanka. Two weeks chauffer driven around the one of the most beautiful islands in the world with a bespoke itinerary taking in the very best of culture and nature that the island has to offer- Blue whales, Elephants, Leopards, Turtles, Temples and much more. Fantastic accommodation and food. Truly amazing!

Tickets are £1.00 only and we will supply books of 50 to help you with your fundraising efforts. The draw is made at the end of 2013. For tickets email Kathy on ‘raffle@whalenation.org’ giving the name and address to which the tickets should be sent.

5. True Fair

If you are feeling enterprising why not sell products made by women from communities with which we work around the world. You are helping them support their children and families AND you get to keep 50% of the income generated to put towards your cause. You can either sell off of our website with a special code or we can give you stock for a sale.
